What’s On Your List?

It’s that time of year when we are busy carrying lists to the store in preparation of gifts to place under the tree. No matter what time of year, I always have my buyers make lists! And when two people are purchasing a home, so I ask for two lists, not one! What are the 10 TOP features you would like to see in your new home?

Here is a sampling of items on the lists I have received:

• Quiet neighborhood-sleep with windows open!

• Window over the sink - a must-have!

• East facing windows on the back of the home

• Open floor plan

• Pantry in kitchen

• Mudroom off garage

• Room for visiting guests in LL with full bath

• Bathroom for each child

• Formal dining room

• Access to downtown

• Mature trees, some sense of privacy

The lists help me narrow down homes in my search, and helps keep buyers on track! It’s so easy to be captivated by a home for its gorgeous kitchen with top- of- the- line appliances and large, sunny eating space, but let’s face it, if the home doesn’t truly meet your needs, you shouldn’t be buying it!

The home buying process can be fun and a great investment. So what’s on your list?
